This is the procedure all foreigners must follow in order to legalize egyptian or sudanese documents for its use in Argentina.
1) The procedure is personal. If the applicant is not in Cairo, please follow step number 3.
2) Send an email to consular_eegip@mrecic.gov.ar, attaching the following:
- Valid DNI, certificate or proof of residency (PRECARIA) issued by the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, or VISA. If you do not have any of the previous ones, please specify the reason.
- Passport, including previous ones if they have stamps or visas to Argentina.
- Documents to be legalized, one PDF file per document properly named, in a clear scan, including the stamp and signature of the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Egypt or Sudan). All documents in a language other than Spanish must be translated.
- Form (in attachment) COMPUTER TYPED and duly filled in every field applicable, and singed by the applicant.
3) Power of Attorney: If the applicant is not in Egypt, a copy of the ID of the person designated to conduct the procedure must be submitted.
4) The documents will be evaluated together with Argentinean authorities. If the legalization is found appropriate, the applicant will receive an email with an appointment to submit the original documents and pay the consular fee.
5) Consular fee:
a. Civil Registry documents: USD 40 in EGP at the exchange rate of the date.
b. Criminal Record: USD 60 in EGP at the exchange rate of the date.
